Innovative Design Solutions

The Exelon Sky Deck is an innovative design that needed to compliment the new Harbor East development. Tensile Structure Systems teamed with our client to create a design that is iconic. The dynamic look provides guests a birds eye view and adds to the aesthetics of the building.

One-of-a-Kind Results

The Sky Deck features the industry’s most advanced technology in providing a solar shading solution 10 stories in the air. We are proud to have taken engineering and fabric architecture design to new heights.

The Challenge

Tensile Structure Systems was challenged to build a custom tensile pavilion that was to be added to the 10th level of a 25 story multi use building without interrupting business or disturbing tenants. Designed per IBC codes for 120 MPH Winds and 30 LB PSF Snow Load.
